Planet Becomes MasterCard Vendor Program Member

Planet Merchant Processing, a division of Planet Group, Inc., was recently accepted into the MasterCard Vendor Program. As an approved program member, Planet Merchant Processing can now work directly with MasterCard. Furthermore, Planet Merchant Processing will be better positioned to provide clients with solutions and services that comply with MasterCard payment network rules and regulations.

“Working directly with MasterCard to maintain network compliance is crucial to all aspects of our processing business,” said Matt Minchow, President of Planet Merchant Processing. “Having direct access to MasterCard’s personnel, ongoing rules, regulations and compliance requirements is critical to providing our customers with the best service and interchange rates possible.”

The direct relationship will ultimately enable Planet Merchant Processing to take a proactive approach to ensure its front-end (authorization and capture) services, back-end (settlement and reconciliation) services and value-added programs, such as gift and loyalty services, are compliant with MasterCard rules and regulations.
